bandage aside, yesterday was a rather 'informative' day, a weird description, but still apt. It told me that amelia has her foot deep in it this time, and it would be left up to me to rescue her should anything less than perfect happens. Alas! But that is the price of friendship. :) It also taught me that people are not always what they seem, and one's own speculation is usually very far from the truth, be it pleasant or unpleasant. Luckily for me, in this case, it was the former. (I apologize for being so general, it is in my friend's interest I am doing so. xP)
Met Zi Yao yesterday in macs. It was rather awkward at first, but got better later. The first part of our conversation went something like this
ZY to ame: 'Are you eating?'
ame: 'No, i am really full.'
ZY to me: 'You?'
me: 'No.'
me to ZY: 'Are YOU eating?'
ZY: 'No.'
Wow. So what are we doing in MACS?
Ziyao turned out to be very funny (take my word for it) and very nice (he treated us to drinks). It was rather scary the way he kept leaping from his chair clutching his leg and saying "Cramp! Cramp!" though. ( He was playing basketball before that so I guess he overexerted himself.) He didn't seem to like us saying he was funny and attributed his hilarity to euphoria from playing basketball. I remain unconvinced, however. :) Whats wrong with having a sense of humour anyway? It's an admirable trait.
I can't remember why, but there was this point in the conversation where he said that he didn't like people commenting on him being vertically challenged. There was an awkward silence, Ame and I looked at each other, and I was like 'oops'. ( I mean, what was I to say, 'no, you are really tall" ?) He's 166 by the way, and I was quite amused by how relieved he looked after learning that I was 162 and ame a full 11cm shorter. ( sorry ame, being short has its advantages too, just that you haven't discovered them yet. xP)
